The premium quality you need
for premium plants!

Keith has developed a handmade premium growing mix, with every ingredient personally measured to ensure consistently high-quality plants. This carefully refined soil recipe is what sets our plants apart and ensures you’re getting the best possible results.

We are a production nursery growing plants in climate-controlled glasshouses, heated in winter and cooled in summer. We focus on varieties that are tried and proven for our local climate, many of which naturally grow in forests and rainforests. Since the 1970s, we’ve grown a wide range of indoor plants, from classic begonias, ferns and ficus to today’s popular favourites. Some specialty varieties are imported by enthusiasts from overseas under permit.

Not all plants thrive in glasshouses, so we trial each variety to determine whether it performs best in a glasshouse or shade house environment. Proper light, water, air circulation and clean growing conditions are essential to producing healthy plants.

With over 42 years of growing experience, we’ve seen many indoor plants fall in and out of fashion, with favourites like Lipstick Plant, Zebra Plant, Fiddle Leaf Fig, Monstera, Begonia Rex and Devils Ivy all making strong comebacks.

Around 90% of our indoor plants are grown in-house from divisions, leaf or stem cuttings. These spend 4–6 months in trays under misting systems before being potted and grown on for a further 6 months. From cutting to sale, most plants take 12–15 months to mature. Some varieties are sourced from tissue culture or spore propagation, including select aglaonemas, peace lilies, ficus and ferns.

We also grow cymbidium orchids, with Gordon dedicating over 66 years to hybridising them. This is a long-term process, taking 6–7 years from seed to flower. Tissue-cultured cymbidiums are exact replicas of their parent plants and deliver outstanding growth and flowering performance.
